What the Body Remembers
Art & Bali’s Annual Flagship Exhibition
About the Exhibition
What the Body Remembers brings together artists, designers, and makers from Indonesia and India to explore how memory is carried through the body, the hand, and the act of making.
Across contemporary art, fashion, textiles, craft, and material culture, the exhibition examines how knowledge is passed through touch, repetition, ritual, and exchange. Structured around the curatorial themes Hand as Archive and Routes of Exchange, it reveals how materials, techniques, and traditions continue to evolve while carrying the stories of people, places, and generations.
Presented by Nuanu Creative City, one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing creative destinations.
